CAMDEN-Funeral service for Ruth Craven Neal, 88, will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Steve Lee will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 608 Black River Road, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. Neal died Thursday, May 6, 2010. Born in Charleston County, she was a daughter of the late Malachi Jackson and Catherine Driggers Craven. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Lewis Neal; sons, Ernest Jackson Neal (Shana) of Sumter, Richard Wayne Neal (Judy) of Tamassee, S.C., and John Edward Neal (Brenda) of Rock Hill, S.C.; sisters, Nonnie Mitchum of Charleston and Miriam Cox of James Island; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
