LUGOFF - Funeral service for Carl E. Campbell, 72, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Spears Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Stephens will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Spears Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Campbell died Saturday, June 12, 2010. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Ollie Richardson Campbell and the late Algie Andrew Campbell. He served in the United States National Guard and retired from DuPont May Plant. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his mother of Lugoff; daughters, Sharie Boggs (Terry) of Lugoff, and Sandra Campbell (Jackie Matthews) of Lugoff; sons, Tony Campbell (Nikki) of Lugoff, and Jamie Campbell (Tessa) of Elgin; brother, Algie Campbell, Jr. (Nettie) of Elgin; sisters, Edith Moak (Kenneth) of Elgin, and Bunkey Ulmer (Joe) of Walterboro, S.C.; and grandchildren, Savanna Boggs, Tassy Boggs, Jason Campbell, and Arin Campbell.
