Obituary of Betty Branham
LUGOFF - Graveside service for Betty Jean Nunnery Branham, 83, will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Greg Sweet will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the residence.
Mrs. Branham died Sunday, July 4, 2010. Born in Edgemore, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Joe Edwin and Nellie Rae McWaters Nunnery. She was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. Visitors to her home always found offerings of delicious food, a warm welcome, and a listening ear.
Surviving are her husband, Samuel “Sam” Branham; son, Tommy Gene Granger, Sr. (Sandy) of Camden; brother, Joseph Van Nunnery (Louann) of Camden; grandchildren, Tommy Granger, Jr. (Debbie) of Camden and Shane Granger of Camden; great-grandchildren, Tommy Granger, III, and Katie Granger; step-daughter, Debbie Branham, step-sons, Mike Branham and Rick Branham all of Modesto, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.. She was predeceased by her first husband, Tommy Henry Granger; brothers, Walker Aiken Nunnery, Joseph Roy Nunnery, and Lyles Simpson Nunnery; and sisters, Elizabeth DeMers, Hattie Belle Dabbs, and Nina Lois Dabbs.
The family extends a special thanks to the Dorcas Sunday School Class at Lugoff First Baptist Church, Hospice of Kershaw County, and the staff of Karesh Long Term Care at KershawHealth for their love, care and support.
