Obituary of Edna C. Boan
BETHUNE - Funeral service for Edna Cranford Boan, 87, will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Steve Henson and Rev. Wayne Flowers will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 2602 Mecklenburg Road/ P.O. Mrs. Boan, former wife of the late Franklin Vernon Boan, died Friday, August 13, 2010. Born in Lyons, Ga., she was a daughter of the late William Franklin and Annie Lou Anderson Cranford. She retired from Kendall Inc. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, William Sherrill Boan of Lugoff, Gerald Wayne Boan and his wife, Ann of Bethune, and Tommy C. Boan of Lugoff; daughter-in-law, Debra Ann Boan of Lugoff; brother, Butch Cranford of Kershaw; sisters, Juanita Outlaw of Bishopville and Mary Sue Ferguson of Kershaw; grandchildren, Cindy Caulder (David), Shand Watson (Brian), Jimmy Boan (Amy), Lee Boan, Jeff Boan (Carrie), and Brant Boan; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Frankie Lee Boan; brothers, Pete Cranford and Herman Cranford; and sisters, Lou Ella Wright, Estelle McLain, Frances Hopkins, and Myrtis Humphries.
