LUGOFF - Funeral Services for John W. Lisemby, 80, will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with a burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia. Rev. Gary Lucas will officiate. The Family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Lisemby, died Monday, August 23, 2010. Born in McGhee Arkansas, he was the son of the late John W. and Dorcas McNeely Lisemby. He retired after 24 years of service from the United States Marine Corp having served in Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He received two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the VFW. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Sweet; daughters, Cynthia Rafuse (Scott), and Belinda Johnson (Rusty) of Carlsbad, Calif., and Julie Walthen (Bruce) of Temecula Calif.; step-children, George Csepegi (Shelly) of Austinberg, Ohio, David Csepegi (Theresa) of Saybrook, Ohio, and Rebecca Kaufman (Jon) of Picayune, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Gregory Lisemby; and a sister.
