COLUMBIA – Funeral service for David Ray Taylor, 57, will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Hacker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Taylor died Saturday, September 11, 2010. Born in Rockingham, N.C., he was the son of Howard Boone and Elizabeth Louise Taylor Boone. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Rhonda Mae Taylor; daughters, Tammy D. Bryant (Sean) of Lugoff, and Brandy Michelle Taylor (Josh Nelson) of Lugoff; sister, Bobbie Jean Deese; brother, George Boone; and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Pat Boone.
