WESTVILLE – Funeral service for James Brian “Jimmy” Davis Sr., 52, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery, Cassatt. Rev. Larry Newman and Rev. Walter Newman will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Church in the Garden, 1625 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Davis died Saturday, October 9, 2010. Born in Camden, he was a son of James Furman Davis, Jr. and Sadie Newman Aldrich. He was a member of Church in the Garden. He enjoyed motor cycle riding and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Teresa D. Davis; father, Jim Davis of Camden; mother, Sadie Aldrich (Robert) of Camden; daughter, Cindy Davis Morgan (Donald) of Westville; son, James Brian “B.J.” Davis, Jr. of Westville; sisters, Wanda Watkins (Johnny) of Westville and Melanie Stevenson of Camden; brother, Tony Davis of Camden; and grandchildren, Daniel Walker Morgan, Nathan James Morgan, and Kylie Samantha Morgan.
