LEXINGTON – Funeral service for Dannie Jenkins Cox, 50, will be held on Monday 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Charles Everett will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mr. Cox died Friday, November 26, 2010. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Edie Lowery Collins and the late Carland Enoch Cox. He worked for TCM and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed drag racing and spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Gamecock fan. Surviving are his sons, Brandon J. Cox of Lexington, Joshua B. Cox of Columbia, Danny J. Cox of Lexington; daughter, Elizabeth Watson of Elgin; mother of Elgin; sisters, Patricia Neumann (Ronald) of Columbia, and Wendy Wolfe (Eddie) of Columbia; grandchildren, Emilia Watson, Piper Watson, Brandon Cox II, and Ava Marie Cox; 4 nieces; and 1 nephew. He was predeceased by son, Carland Cox; and brother, Carland Ronald Cox.
