CASSATT – Graveside service for Leonard William Ray, 58, will be held Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Donnie Dixon will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mr. Ray died Sunday, January 16, 2011. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late William Charlie and Lessie Robinson Ray. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren, and watching TV Land (Andy Griffith, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Three Stooges). Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Mae Ray; daughter, Melissa A. Threatt (Dewey); sons, Johnny Lynn Ray (Chastity Ham) and William Eugene Ray (Jessica); sisters, Jewel Reynolds, Betty Mattox, and Judith Gardner; grandchildren, Shiloh Ray, Samantha Ray, Dewey Threatt III, and Allen Threatt; and his loving dog, “Buddy Ro”. He was predeceased by his first wife, Sylvia Ann Ray; and brothers, Wayne Ray and Johnny Ray.
