NANCY DIXON CAMDEN - Funeral services for Nancy Freeman Dixon, 73, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Camden Ward, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to NHC (TFGE) 1018 North Guignard, Sumter, S.C. 29150. Ms. Dixon, wife of the late Lewis M. Dixon, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Born in Society Hill, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Clarence Allen and Rosedale Edwards Freeman. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Camden Ward. She enjoyed auctions and loved people. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Dixon (Connie) of Cassatt, Gary Dixon of Westminster, Johnny Dixon (Janice) of Kershaw, Rock Dixon of Swansee, Keith Dixon of Camden; daughters, Theresa Ham of Camden, Dawn Newman of Camden, Vanessa Kirkley (Jerry) of Camden; sisters, Hally McNatt, Linda Howell, and Faye Howell; brothers, Delmars Freeman, Carol L. Freeman, and Ronnie Freeman; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. The family expresses a heartfelt thanks to the staff of NHC in Sumter for their loving care.
