LUGOFF – A celebration of life service for Allison Dean Parker, 58, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the America Cancer Society or the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter. Mr. Parker died Monday, September 5, 2011. Born in Camden, he was the son of Polly Owen Parker and the late Allison Floyd Parker, Jr. He enjoyed his dogs, working in his yard, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Patricia Tidwell Parker; mother Polly Parker of Lugoff; daughter, Deana Parker Kelly of Lugoff; sisters, Mikie P. Lynch and Cathy “Doda” Parker, both of Camden; grandchildren, Hunter Thompkins, Allison Thompkins, and Little Ken Kelly; and close friends, Alan King and David Hall.
