Obituary of Ada E. Webber
CAMDEN: The funeral services for Ada Louise Easler Webber, 89, will be held Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Camden Ward, 34 Chestnut Ferry Road, Camden, SC 29020. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at the Centerville Cemetery, Ridgeway, located in the community of Centerville, immediately following the church service. Memorials may be made to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Ms. Webber died Monday, June 13, 2016, after a long and faithful life. She was born in Columbia, SC, and was the daughter of the late Bennie Lorin and Lucille Lee Hughes Easler, the third of six children. She was reared in the community of Centerville, SC, graduated high school in Centerville, and attended Coker College. She had various professions, but her greatest enjoyment was found in gardening, fishing, flower arranging, and cake decorating, especially wedding cakes for family members.
Ms. Webber was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held callings in the Sunday School, Seminary, Relief Society, Primary, and directed the music in many wards and branches of the church.
Surviving are her children, in birth order, Karen Carlotta Busby (David), Atlanta, GA; William Douglas Blackman, Freeport, FL; Ava B. Lundquist, Lake Charles, LA; Robert Blackman, Ogden, UT; and Paula Teague (Shawn), Hickory, NC.
She also leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, June Marie Busby Huisman, Mary Sue Busby Shuford, James Vernon Lundquist, Daniel Nathan Lundquist, Benjamin Eben Lundquist, Douglas Blackman, Amanda Blackman Lowery, Robbie Blackman, Rachael Blackman Sims, Brandon Blackman, Valerie Barnette, Steve Barnette, Chance Blackman, Carver Blackman, Spencer Blackman, McKenna Blackman Hall, Daniel Teague, Moriah Teague, Gwynivere Teague, and Joseph Teague, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Lorin Easler and Lucille Lee Hughes Easler; sisters Lorine Parish and Millie Ellenburg; brother Jack Easler; grandson Luke Lundquist; and daughter-in-law Debra Blackman.
Ms. Webber has two living sisters, Sarah Fernstein and Betty Branham.
