ELGIN – Funeral services for Rudolph “Bud” Branham, Sr., 81 will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dean Reynolds will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Branham passed away Monday, July 11, 2016. Born in Blaney, he was a son of the late Levi and Maggie Atkerson Branham. Mr. Branham was a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mary Elizabeth Cooper Branham; children, Elizabeth Dinkins (Lester) of Ridgeway, Rudolph “Rudy” Branham, Jr. (Linda) of Ridgeway, Linda Reynolds (Steve) of Lugoff, Susan Wright (John Heyward) of Lugoff, Deborah Branham of Charlotte, N.C., Sandra Slusser (Richard) of Clover; brothers, Grady Branham (Dorothy) of Columbia, Gene Branham of Ridgeway; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Briana Rabon; sisters, Bernice Dixon, Rachael Huggins; and a brother, Arthur Branham.
