ELGIN – Memorial service for Mildred McDonald Bishop, 85, will be held at a later date in NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Hill Baptist Church, 10811 Greenville Hwy, Cedar Mountain, NC 28718. Mrs. Bishop passed away October 2, 2016. Born in Columbia, SC, on May 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Roy T. McDonald, Sr. and Lucille Brown McDonald. She was a devoted member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Bonnie Hayes; grandchildren, Jessie Lynn Cook and James David (Cassie) Adams; great-grandchildren, Amanda Wilson, Dakota Cook, Christopher Tayloe, Michael Cook, Jamie Adams, and Tyler Adams; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother, Roy T. McDonald, Jr. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Bishop and brother, John R. McDonald.
