Obituary of Mary Lou Barnes
CAMDEN – Funeral service for Mary Lou Houser Barnes, 85, will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Lugoff, Church of God with burial to follow in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Shirley and the Rev. Tony Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
Mrs. Barnes, wife of the late Robert S. Barnes, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Spradley Houser. She worked for Skyline Manufacturing and retired from Hermitage Mill.
Mrs. Barnes was a faithful member of Lugoff Church of God. She had a very loving and sweet spirit and taught many children in Sunday School.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda B. Boyko (Ben) of Mauldin; and sister, Ernestine Napper. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorris Melton; and brother, Jack Houser, Jr.
