CAMDEN – Funeral service for Willie Virginia Gibson Truesdale, 91, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Damascus United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Damascus United Methodist Church or a charity of one’s choice. Mrs. Truesdale passed away at home on Friday, October 21, 2016. Born in Lawrenceville, Va., she was the daughter of the late William Gibson and Lula Virginia Lewis Gibson. She was a member of Damascus United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered with the Library. Mrs. Truesdale was an avid reader. Surviving are her sons, Harold David Truesdale (Marilyn), Howard Dennis Truesdale, and Gerald Stanley Truesdale; daughter, Beegie Truesdale (William Carrick); sisters, Judy Coleman and Marti Ray Gibson; brother, Ronald Gibson; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
