LUGOFF – Services for Diane Josephine Baker, 61, will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the South Carolina Heart Center or the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter. Miss Baker died Thursday, February 14, 2013. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Orie Joseph and Mary Lee Johnson. She loved her dogs and cats. Surviving are her sisters, Iris McDonald of Lugoff, Gayle Baker of Lugoff, Joyce Vincent of Kershaw, Shirley Baker of Lancaster; brothers, Earl Baker of Cassatt, Dale Baker of Kershaw; half sisters, Doris Hollingsworth (Al) of Lugoff, Yvonne Jenkins (William) of Camden, Audrey Barfield (Kenneth) of Camden; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of the KershawHealth MED 2 floor, KershawHealth Hospice, S.C. Heart Center, and Dr. Kang and his staff.
