KERSHAW – Funeral services for James David “JD” Freeman, 66, will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at House of Prayer with Open Arms Church, 3127 Old Georgetown Rd, Kershaw, S.C., with burial to follow in Boonetown Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Barrett will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. and all other times at the home of Sarah Bass at 2625 Old Georgetown Rd W., Kershaw, S.C. 29067. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to House of Prayer with Open Arms Church or KershawHealth Hospice. Mr. Freeman passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Lewis Freeman and Margaret Sheorn Moseley. Mr. Freeman served in the U.S. Army and fought in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed coloring. Surviving are his brother, Edward Freeman (Diane) of Kershaw; a sister, Sarah Bass of Kershaw; nieces, Brenda Bass, Sara Renee Altman; nephews, Jamie Freeman, Dewey Bass, 4 great-nephews; 4 great-nieces; and 1 great-great niece.
