Obituary of Willie Lee Clark
Lugoff– A celebration of life service for Willie Lee “Bill” Clark, 87, will be held Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons International at P.O. Box 664, Lugoff, S.C. 29078.
Mr. Clark passed away Monday, January 02, 2017. Born in Roxboro, N.C., he was a son of the late Willie Henry and Mattie Lee Garrett Clark. Mr. Clark was a member of Faith Church of the Nazarene and the Gideons International Lugoff-Elgin Camp. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After service he went on to work for McLean Trucking and Builders Transport and retired after 39 years. He enjoyed serving the Lord and doing His work through the Gideons International and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Luna Powell Clark; children, Barry Clark (Peggy) of Raleigh, N.C., Norma Wilson (Beryl) of Bishopville; sister, Frances Oliver of Greer; step-sister, Fay Guinn of MS; half-brothers, Buck Clark and Danny Clark of Roxboro; grandchildren, Michelle Clark, Justin, Morgan, and Zackary Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Asher and Jax. He was predeceased by a step-sister, Ramona Gentry; brother, Tucker Clark; and a half-brother, Fred Clark.
