LUGOFF - Funeral service for Clarice Friar Branham, 79, will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Douglas Whitfield will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Branham died Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Born in Darlington, she was a daughter of the late John Aaron and Dessie Small Friar. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she was very actively involved. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Clarence Branham; sons, Earl Branham of Temple, Ga., and Don (Debbie) Branham of Lugoff; daughters, Tammy (Alan) Davis of Columbia, and Tina Branham of Lugoff; sister, Louise Thomas of Lugoff; grandchildren, Cyndi (Joe) Kraudy, Kellie (Tim) Erdossy, JoEllen Katz, David Branham, Kevin (Janet) Branham, Brandi Branham, Alex Davis, and Sara Davis; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Aaron Friar, David Friar, and Joel Friar; and sister, Elizabeth Kelly.
