LUGOFF – Funeral services for Erline M. LeGrand, 92, will be held Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dean Reynolds and Rev. Richard Humphries will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11am – 12pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. LeGrand passed away January 12, 2017. Born in Richland County, SC, on December 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Jesse McDonald and Emily Ross McDonald. She has been a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church for the last 24 years. Prior to that Mrs. LeGrand was a member of Jackson Creek Baptist Church, where she was a GA leader. She worked as a long distance operator with AT&T for 20 years. Surviving are her children, Linda Sue (Phillip) Frye and Bernie (Corey) Adkins; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Harvey LeGrand; first husband, Sergeant Major Homer Adkins, USA, Ret.; daughter, Libby Adkins Moyer; brother, Ernest McDonald; sister, Sally Hagood.
