ELGIN – Funeral services for Emma Mae Jackson, 71, will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Mt. Sinai AME Church Cemetery. Reverend Deberry P. Cook will officiate. Ms. Jackson entered into eternal life on January 14, 2017. Born in Elgin, SC, on March 10, 1945, she was the daughter of Daisy Glenn Jackson and the late George Jackson, Sr. She enjoyed watching tv, reading and having telephone conversations with her friends. Those left to cherish her fond memory and celebrate her homegoing are her daughter, TaWanna Jackson, of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Andreas A. McDonald, of Elgin, Maya Boyd and Deonta Kerell Boyd, both of Winnsboro; special friend, Thomas Hammond. She was predeceased by her son, Kerr-Darryl Jackson; brothers, George Jackson, Jr. and Ronald Jackson. The Jackson family wishes to thank Ms. Jacqueline Bennett for all the help that she gave during this time and all of her friends and other family members.
