BISHOPVILLE – A memorial service for Mary G. McKinnon, 56, will be held Thursday at 3:00pm at Powers Funeral Home. Pastor David Stratford, III will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Ms. McKinnon passed away January 18, 2017. Born in Patterson, NJ, on July 27, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Willie McKinnon and Minnie Ancrum McKinnon. Affectionately known as “Candygirl,” she loved music, watching soap operas, eating ice cream and cake, and listening to Lee Williams songs. Surviving are her fiancé, Henry Wilson; sister, Theresa (William) Smith-Walker; brothers, Kenny (Cheryl) McKinnon, Rodney McKinnon, and Vincent McKinnon; 2 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Robby Rashawn McKinnon; brother, Mark McKinnon.
