CAMDEN – Funeral services for Pearle Weeks Stoveken, 103, will be held Thursday at 10:00am at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Reverend John Hallman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:30am – 10:00am at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Stoveken passed away February 13, 2017. Born in Roundo, SC, on May 18, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Henry Mallard Weeks and Lillie Farwell Weeks. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and the owner/operator of Ritz Beauty Salon in Columbia. After moving to Camden in 1962, she became a member of the Kirkover Hills Garden club. Mrs. Stoveken enjoyed playing bridge and gardening. Surviving is her daughter, Jennifer (Kim) Barfield of Camden; step-daughter, Dina Stoveken DiMaria; grandchildren, Cathy (Jason) Floyd; Susan (Jason) Richardson; step-grandchildren, Vicki (Terry) Burke of Dallas, TX, Christina (Alan) Schwartz of Houston, TX and Robert Stoveken of Houston, TX; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Stoveken; sons, Gilbert Hill and Henry Hill; sisters, Nancy Saunders and Emma Mattox. The family would like to thank the staff at Pinedale Nursing Center for their care over the 7 years.
