FORT MILL – Funeral service for David Olin Vinson, 57, will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in God’s Lighthouse Independent Church Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Newman and the Rev. Larry Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in Camden, he was the son of Stanley Olin Vinson and Frances Newman. Mr. Vinson enjoyed fishing, hunting, helping others, tinkering around with and making things out of wood or metal, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Teresa Meacham “Terri” Vinson; mother, Frances Newman; father, Stanley Vinson; children; Derek Vinson of Elgin, Stephen Peche (Martha) and Billy Williams both of Charleston; sisters, Wendy Vinson and Regina Vinson both of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Abel Peche and Landry Williams; and nephews, Bradley Robinson and Daniel Vinson. He was predeceased by a son, Travis Vinson.
