CAMDEN – Funeral services for Dorothy E. Rogers, 88, will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Joe Stines and Rev. Danny Hedgepath will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1pm – 2pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Rogers passed away April 21, 2017. Born in Florence, SC, on May 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Strickland and Carrie Owens Strickland. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Kendall Mother’s Club, and enjoyed crafts, collecting Angels and Horses, and working puzzles. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Surviving are her daughter, Candy Rogers Castelow of West Columbia; sons, Randy Rogers (Lisa) of Camden, Dwaine Rogers (Wanda) of Lugoff, and Howard Rogers (Lynn) of Lugoff; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lockee Rogers; siblings, Wilhelmina Arrants, Richard Strickland, and Sonny Strickland. The family would like to give a special thank you to Embrace Hospice.
