LUGOFF- Elizabeth A. Gambrell, 70, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Charlie M. Gates and Elizabeth Mattox Clark. Ms. Gambrell enjoyed crafts, gardening, baking, and especially spending time with her special friend, Grace Conover and her great-granddaughter, “Munchie”. Surviving are her daughter, Lynn Branham (Robert) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Britt and Macon Branham; great-grandchild, Sarah-Kate Branham; sisters, Marlene Dumbrowski of N.Y., Charlene Sharpe of LA, Cheryl Baham of LA; and brothers, Charlie Gates of MO, John Gates and Bobby Gates both of LA. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Lions Club or The American Heart Association.
