KANNAPOLIS, N.C.- A memorial service for Mrs. Patricia Dawn Anderson Leigh, 51, will be held Saturday, June 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethany Westville Baptist Church in Westville, S.C. The Rev Cragian Blankenship will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church’s Fellowship Building. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Patty Leigh’s Transplant Fund; First Palmetto Bank, 407 East Dekalb Street Camden, South Carolina 29020. Mrs. Leigh passed away Saturday June 10, 2017 from complications following a liver transplant surgery. Born in Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Bert Anderson and Juanita Bridges Anderson. Patty was a school teacher and librarian who loved books and children and dedicated her professional life to both. As a pastor’s wife, community volunteer, and school librarian, she worked tirelessly helping others. Being with family, especially her children, nephews, and “adopted kids” brought PDAL her greatest joy. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Reverend Steven Leigh; two daughters, Shea Kuchenbrod (Cliff), Stevie Leigh; a son Luke Leigh; a brother, Bill Anderson (Tracy); and two nephews, Sam and Jack.
