LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Randy Jacobs, 61, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with inurnment to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Mr. Jacobs passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Nathaniel Jacobs and the late Mary Griffin Jacobs. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was loved by all and was known for his kind, humble, warm-hearted spirit. Surviving are his wife, Tina M. Taylor Jacobs of Lugoff; step-son, Lonnie B. Thomas III of Texas; step-daughter, Ashley E. Thomas of Columbia; father, Nathaniel Jacobs (Claretta) of Columbia; brother, Gregory Griffin (Stacey) of Lugoff; 6 grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Griffin.
