LUGOFF – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Carol Brown Davis, 77, will be held Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Danny & Ron’s Rescue at PO Box 604 Camden, SC 29021 or dannyronsrescue.org. Mrs. Davis died peacefully on July 16, 2017 with her family by her side. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Zemp Albert and Sallie Lee Goldie Corbett Brown. Mrs. Davis graduated from the Camden School of Nursing in 1962. She was a member of the Lugoff Gardening Club, an avid dog lover, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Clifton “Cliff” Davis, Jr.; son, Clifton Zemp Davis (Linda) of Wake Forest, N.C.; daughter, Heather Davis Willits (Paul) of Lugoff; sister, Susan Brown Leviner of Camden; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Carol Willits, Kathleen Elaine Davis, Joshua Carlyle Willits, Betty Louise Davis, and Rachel Caroline Davis.
