CAMDEN – Funeral services for Lewis Lee Neal, 97, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Steve Lee will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Mr. Neal, husband of the late Ruth Craven Neal, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Lewis E.H. Neal and Ola Baker Neal. Mr. Neal served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from DuPont in Camden. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and hunting. Surviving are his sons, E.J. “Jack” Neal (Shana) of Montville, N.J., Richard W. Neal (Judy) of Tamassee, S.C, John E. Neal (Brenda) of Rock Hill, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, David R. Neal.
