CAMDEN – A service to celebrate the life of Homer Clayton Baker, 76, will be held on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Baker, husband of the late Christy Kennington Baker, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2017. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Palmer and Louise Moseley Baker. Mr. Baker served in the United States Marine Corp and retired from DuPont. He enjoyed woodworking and singing gospel music. Surviving are his step-children, Bobby Little (Deborah) of Rembert, Gary Little of Camden, Kristal Leaird (Stephen) of Camden and Alison McCaskill (Michael) of Camden; sister, Johnnie Mae Baker; and 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, J.W. Baker and Harold Baker; and sister, Sybil Baker.
