CAMDEN – Funeral services for Grace Threatt Walden, 88, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Wateree Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Taylor Wells and the Rev. Bobby Fletcher will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Epworth Children’s Home or a Charity of One’s Choice. Mrs. Walden, wife of the late Hugh Davis Walden, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017. Born in Cassatt, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Juanita Tidwell Threatt. Mrs. Walden retired from Kershaw County Hospital as RN supervisor of the operating room and was a member of Wateree Baptist Church, the Busy Bee’s, and the Women’s Club at First Baptist Church. She enjoyed ceramics and reading. Surviving are her children, Harry Walden (Diana), Cindy Simmons; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Helen Threatt, Elizabeth Threatt; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Blanche Cooper, Ida Lee Joyner; and brothers, Cleatus Threatt, Clifford Threatt, Horace Threatt.
