LUGOFF – A memorial service for Evelyn L. Faries, 95, will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mrs. Faries passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Born in Thurston, OH on June 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Karl William Sanford and Audrey Clementine Sanford. She retired from Ralston Purina in Tampa. Evelyn was a member of Ladies of the Nile and Town and Country Methodist Church in Tampa for 25 years. She loved her family and dogs, enjoyed dancing and watching sports with her boys. Surviving are her children, Jessica W. Chase of Lugoff, Vaughn T. Willis of Columbus, OH, and Gary R. Willis of Atlanta, GA; family of Carl Faries; grandchildren, Austin (Stephanie) Willis, Aaron Willis, and Alex (Meghan) Willis; granddaughter-in-law, Kimberly Mobley; great-grandchildren, Trent and Mason Mobley, Knox Willis, Addison Willis, and Julian McDaniels. She was predeceased by her husbands, M. Thomas Willis and Carl William Faries; grandson, Sean Mobley; sisters, Marveen Ellen George and Maxine Parks.
