Obituary of Bradford Clark Davis

KERSHAW – Funeral service with military honors for Bradford Clark Davis, 86, will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Phil Crocker will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Davis passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017. Born in Marshville, N.C., he was the son of the late James Clifford and Mary E. Martin Davis. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Camden. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Sue Denkins Davis; daughters, Sandra Williams of Atwood, Tenn. and Dorothy May Hildreth (Donnie) of Lugoff; sons, Earl McAlister of Wingo, Ky. And Daniel McAlister of Atwood, Tenn.; sisters, Betty Jean Levenstein of Nashville, Tenn. And Joyce Ann Peppers of Michigan; brothers, James C. Davis of Detroit, Mich., Martin Leon Davis of Bowling Green, Ky. and Billy Joe Davis of Sanford, N.C.; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 6 great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Guy Rufus Davis.
