ELGIN – A service to celebrate the life of Zachery Blake Kirkland, 18, will be held on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Zach passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Born in Camden, he was the son of Cody Lamar Kirkland and Lisa Marie Watson Hite. He was employed with F.J. Rabon Construction. He was an avid sportsman and loved coon hunting. Zach was a caring young man who loved his Lord and Savior. Surviving are his father, Cody Kirkland (Holly) of Rembert; mother, Lisa Hite (David) of Elgin; brothers, Daniel Kilpatrick Jr., Joshua Kirkland, and Huntley Kirkland; sister, Ashby Kirkland; paternal grandparents, Phillip and Brenda Kirkland; maternal grandparents, Ray and Vivian Watson; step-grandparents, Rev. Gary and Cindy Boykin; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
