RICHMOND, VA – Funeral service for Rebecca Barbara Bachert, 60, will be held on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden. The Dr. Charles Everett will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made the Arthritis Foundation. Mrs. Bachert died on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Born in Carter County, Tenn., she was the daughter of Barbara Shipley Rasberry. And the late Quincy Parlier, Jr. She served in the United States Army. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with family. Surviving are her husband, Brian Aaron Bachert; daughters, Melissa Ann Bachert Sills (James, Jr.) of Summerville and Breanna Bachert of the home; mother, Barbara Rasberry; sister, Susan Collett; grandchildren, Conner Reece Bachert, Addisen Rebekah Sills, Austin Brian Sills, and James Edward Sills III; nieces, Summer Rasberry and Barbara Taylor; and nephews, Charles Carr and Trevor Wood. She was predeceased by a brother, Tommy Taylor.
