ELGIN – A service to celebrate the life of Ashley Peebles Gurley, 37, will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery, Camden. The Rev. Matt Galloway will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church. Ashley passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Eddie Everette Peebles and Tammy Outlaw. She was a nurse with Amedysis Home Health. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cats, and most of all spending time with her children. Surviving are her husband of 16 years, William Clifton “Will” Gurley Sr.; father, Eddie Peebles (Linda J. Harper) of Camden; children, William Clifton Gurley Jr., Rebekkah Grace Gurley and Addie Marie Gurley; brother, Chad Everette Peebles (Melissa Ferguson-Peebles) of Camden; grandparents, Mike and Johnsie Sellers; uncles, Billie Joe Peebles (Ann) and Ernest Peebles; mother-in-law, Emily Gurley Toelke; sister-in-law, Dana Gurley Lindler (Thomas); and brother-in-law, Linwood Earl Gurley, Jr.
