RIDGEWAY- Funeral services for Cheryl Ann David “Chery” Dennis, 58, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Dennis, wife of the late Patrick Michael Dennis, passed away November 29, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of Joe and Jo Ann David. Mrs. Dennis dedicated her life to educating children and worked as a teacher’s aide with the Lexington school district. She enjoyed going to the beach, collecting sea shells, doing puzzles, and was an avid reader. Surviving are her daughter, Carrie M. Redd (Raphael) of Gaston; parents, Joe and Jo Ann David of Ridgeway; sisters, Kathy Watts (Grady) of West Columbia, Mary Barrs of Cayce, Cindy Knight of Elgin; brothers, Rick David (Renee’) of Gaston, Jody David (Candi) of South Congaree; Larry David of Gaston; 4 grandchildren; companion, John “Tony” Anderson of Hartsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, and daughter, Elizabeth Dennis.
