CASSATT – Funeral service for Thelma Watts Bass, 92, will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Homer Hinson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Bass, wife of the late Poley Bass, died Thursday, March 21, 2013. Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of John T. and Beulah Craig Watts. Survived by a sister, Nellie Evans of Texas; grandchildren, Mildred Boone, Norma Wescott and Danny Joe Boone; 8 great-grandchildren; and 8 great great-grandchildren.
