Donnie Keith Stokes died peacefully in his home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Conyers, Georgia at the age of 60. Donnie is survived by his wife, Jenna McLeod Stokes; his daughter, Sharon of Conyers; and his son, Michael (Angela) of Knoxville, TN. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his mother, Viola Stokes of Camden, SC; his siblings, Jerry Stokes (Carol) of Lugoff, SC, Janice Catoe (Allen) of Lugoff, SC, Ronnie Stokes (Debbie) of Irmo, SC, and Dale Stokes of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his spouse’s siblings, Bill McLeod (Kathy) of Irmo, SC, Steve McLeod (Portia) of Davidson, NC, Phil McLeod (Julia) of Columbia, SC, Teresa Hampton (Bo) of Lawrenceville, GA and Tim McLeod (Ellen) of Suwanee, GA. Donnie was born on March 1, 1957 in Camden, South Carolina to Viola Bowers Stokes and the late Simon Stokes. He graduated from Midlands Technical College for Electrical Engineering. Donnie married Jenna, his high school sweetheart, on October 21, 1978. He worked for AT&T with Disaster Recovery. Donnie was an unwavering beam of light and will be greatly missed.
