MAX MEADOWS, VA – Funeral service for Nancy Jane Short, 54, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff with burial to follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Short passed away at home on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mildred McDonald. She retired as an LPN. She enjoyed horseback riding and drawing. Surviving are her husband of 34 years, James Timothy Short; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Farmer (Derek) of Lugoff; sisters, Debbie Goff (Benjamin) of Elgin and Marian “Tinker” Sheehan (Toby) of Lugoff; and grandchildren, Hailey, Landen, Brantley and Brody. She was predeceased by a brother, Tillman McDonald.
