RIDGEWAY – A gathering to celebrate the life of Bob Perry, 75, will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at 1408 Lake Rd., Ridgeway, S.C. 29130. Memorials may be made to the Thiel-Meyer Animal Adoption Center, 128 Black River Rd, Camden, S.C. 29020 Mr. Perry passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Born in Mount Airy, N.C., he was the son of the late Ray Robert Perry, Sr. and Helen Payne Perry. He received his B.S. in Textile Engineering from N.C. State and was an avid Wolfpack fan. He went on to get his M.B.A. from Winthrop University. He dearly loved his family and friends. Enjoyed boating, cruising and racing dirt track cars. He was also an amateur meteorologist. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Perry; and his children, Shannon Perry Griffith (Patrick), Jennifer Perry Reed (Eric), and Kelly Perry Calhoun (Patrick); step-daughters, Kelly Nichols and Heather Nichols; grandchildren, Connor Post, Jovon Griffith, Anderson Reed, Landon Reed, Tyler Calhoun, and Weston Calhoun; sister, Beth Marvin (Bill); lifelong friend, Jim Goodnight; beloved pet, Molly. He was predeceased by his brother, Jim Perry.
