ELGIN – Funeral services from David M. Donahue, Sr., 71, will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Wesley Luke and the Rev. Judith Luke will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elgin Congregational Church. Mr. Donahue, husband of the late Margy C. Donahue, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017. Born in Crocketville, he was a son of the late Joe David and Bessie Lee Benton Donahue, Jr. Mr. Donahue was a member of Elgin Congregational Holiness Church. He enjoyed working with his church, metal working, engineering and was a master of all trades. Surviving are his sons, Clarence Climer, Carl Climer, Charles Climer, and David M. Donahue Jr.; daughter, Carol Lee Enevoldsen; sisters, Frances Joann Eargle, Sarah Glenn, Dorothy Mills; brothers, Albert Donahue, Charles Donahue; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel Odell Climer; sister, Louise Donahue; and brothers, Joe Donahue III, James Donahue, Louis Donaue and Ronald Donahue.
