BLYTHEWOOD – A memorial service for Ann B. Chandler, 82, will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., with a visitation 1hr prior, at First Baptist Church of Center Point, 1945 Center Point Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35215. Burial will follow the service at 3:30 p.m. in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Vernon, AL. Mrs. Chandler passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Born in Lamar County, AL, on December 24, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. Barnes and Martha E. Woods Barnes. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerpoint in Birmingham, AL, where she sang in the choir, for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and Alabama football. Surviving is her loving husband of 62 years, Norris G. Chandler; son, Mark (Angela) Chandler; grandchildren, Stephen, Matthew, Caleb and Joshua Chandler, and Sara (John) Partridge; brother, Jerry (Joan) Barnes; sister, Jean Pilkington. She was predeceased by her daughters, Sherry “Lisa” Buchanan and Karen Denise Chandler; several brothers and sisters.
