LUGOFF – A funeral service for Gene Autry Taylor, Jr., 56, will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with a visitation 1hr prior. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Mr. Taylor passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Born in Camden, S.C., he was the son of Faye Garner Taylor and the late Gene Autry Taylor, Sr. He was a Gamecocks fan and enjoyed dancing, singing, reading, gardening and planting trees. Most recently he was working on writing a book. Gene loved his mama’s fried chicken. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Harding Taylor; children, Rebecca (Brandon) Richbourg and Andrew Taylor; step-children, Vincent Boyce, Spencer Boyce and Amber Boyce; brothers, James (Dena) Taylor and Jerry (Kim) Taylor; sister, Janet (Sherri) Hoffman.
