WEST COLUMBIA- Funeral services for Ethel Virginia Buff, 92, will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lugoff First Baptist Church or Gideon’s International. Mrs. Buff, wife of the late Benjamin Roy Buff, died Sunday March 24, 2013. Born in Bishopville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Mary Ella Gradick Gaskin. She was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed ceramics and singing. Surviving are sons, Thomas Buff (Deborah) of Simpsonville and Marion Buff of Columbia; daughters-in-law, Barbara Buff of Elgin and Georgette Buff of Irmo; sister, Helen Rubin of Lutz, Fla.; grandchildren, Pat, Lynn, Bubba, Stephen, Troy, Carol, Laura, Melody, Tammy and Carmen; 20 great-grandchildren; and 12 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Gene “Pete” Buff; grandson, Jaye Buff; brothers, Burl, Jesse and Buck; and sisters, Mildred, Lucille, Mary Catherine, Margie, Vivian and Elizabeth.
