CASSATT – Funeral service for Mary Katherine Bass, 43, will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at New Direction Church of God, Camden with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Bass passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Karl Hienz and Vivian Annette Bell Schwarz. She formerly worked as a receptionist for Powers and Gregory, Inc. and was a member of New Direction Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and sewing. Surviving are her husband of 19 years, James Heyward Bass; daughter, Jessica Lemonds (Matt); brother, Robert Schwarz; and 3 grandchildren, Aydan, Elyzabeth and Bailey.
