COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Johnny Lee Wood, 65, will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 a 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Cedar Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Wood passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late James and Lizzie Austin Wood. He was a truck driver by trade and enjoyed gardening and fishing. Surviving are his children, Tonya Sneed (Christopher), Pebbles Hill, Jeffrey Hill (Renee), and Sheila Glenn (Johnny); sisters, Ella Mae Wood, Pricilla Hunter and Patricia Wood; brothers, James Wood Jr., Ralph G. Wood and Joseph A. Wood; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Isabelle Woods-Hill. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary L.
