LUGOFF – Funeral service for Gertrude Elizabeth Clay, 88, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Springvale Baptist Church. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private in Woodridge Memorial Park, West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church Building Fund or Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Blythewood. Cancer quietly sent Mrs. Clay to be with her Lord surrounded by her children, Joe Clay of Blythewood, Linda Wilson of Lexington and Patricia Jackson of Lugoff. She has 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Edgar Clay; and daughter, Kathryn Brunson.
